Abstract:

The Agh-Otagh mineralization area in the north of Takab, was formed within the andesistic tuffaceous rocks of the Oligo- Miocene age. Mineralization include polyMETALlic (Cu-Pb-Zn-Au-Ag) quartz veins and silicified zones, which occurred as breccia and vein- veinlets with comb, cockade and disseminated textures. Chalcopyrite, pyrite, galena and sphalerite are common ore minerals. Alteration zones consist of silicification, sericitization, argillitic, propelitic and carbonatization. Cu-Au mineralization is associated with silicification and sericitization. Analytical results of the samples from the ore- bearing quartz veins and the silicified zones indicate that the highest grade for Au is 664 ppb (ave.181 ppb). The highest and the average grades for Ag, Cu, Pb, and Zn are 120 ppm (300 ppm), 1.3 % (0.38 %), 5.5 % (0.06 %) and 4.5 % (0.28 %), respectively. The investigations indicate that the Agh-Otagh mineralization was formed in four stages. In the first stage or the pre-mineralization stage, the host rock, as a result of hydrothermal process, underwent brecciation and some quartz veins and siliceous cap were formed. In the second stage or the mineralization stage the sulfide minerals formed within the quartz veins and silicification zones developed at the third stage, some unmineralized quartz, barite and carbonate vein- veinlets crosscut the previous stages. The last stage of mineralization related to supergene processes. Based on geological, mineralogical, alteration, structural and textural evidences, the Agh-Otagh base- PRECIOUS METAL mineralization is similar to the medium sulfidation epithermal deposits.

Abstract:

Markazi province is located in central of Iran and it belongs to METALlogeny zone of Sanandaj Sirjan and Magmatic zone of Oromieh-Dokhtar.Ancient mining activity in Markazi province shows there are some potential area for PRECIOUS and semi PRECIOUS stone such as Garnet, Tourmaline, Zircon, Quartz, Jasper and so on.A primary exploration improved the existence of these minerals in Khoshgehdar and Ghaleh Agah Hamid in Saraband and also Nezam-Abad in Arak and finally zali-bolagh, Nivasht and Koh-pang in Saveh.About 100 sample collected from the study area and cut and polished in Iran and India. The result shown 1-Tourmaline and Garnet due to their maturity, crakes and colors has not good characteristics for cutting and polishing although there are enough amounts of these stones in the area of Khoshgehdar and Ghaleh Agah Hamid.2-Quartz has a good characteristic for cutting and polishing although there is a good outcrop in the surface but, we do not know about amount of reservoir underground.3-Jasper is the only mineral that has a good condition for cutting and polishing and also has enough reservoirs in Markazi province. According to our researching, although there are enough amounts of these Semi PRECIOUS stones in Markazi province but there is not any recognized market of Jasper in Iran. We should explore, extract, cut and polish Jasper in Iran and then export these production to some country such as U.S.A, Germany, France, Russia and India that has a good market for jasper.

Abstract:

Gandy and Abolhassani epithermal PRECIOUS-and base-METAL deposits occur in the Tertiary calc-alkaline volcanic belt of northeast Iran. The exposed rock units consist of a volcaniclastic sequence of thin-bedded siltstones and sandstones, lapilli tuffs, volcanic breccias and intermediate lava flows at Gandy, and mostly andesitic flows at Abolhassani.Mineralization in Gandy occurs as veins and breccias and can be divided into three main stages. Stage I is economically important in terms of PRECIOUS METAL content. Stage II consists of four substages and contains the majority of base-METAL mineralization. The final stage is dominated by quartz and calcite. Mineralization of the Abolhassani veins occurred in three main stages. The first two stages contain similar mineral assemblages, including quartz, calcite, galena, sphalerite, pyrite and chalcopyrite, which are economically important in terms of base-METAL content, whereas the final stage is dominated by quartz and calcite. The average homogenization temperatures and salinities of fluid inclusion assemblages from Gandy range from 234o to 285 oC, and 4.2 to 5.4 wt% NaCl equiv. The homogenization temperatures are in a good agreement with isotopic temperatures from two sphalerite and galena pairs (236o and 245oC). The average temperature and salinity of fluid inclusion assemblages from Abolhassani district range from 234o to 340 oC, and 6.7 to 18.7 wt% NaCl equiv. Sulfide pairs of sphalerite-galena do not give reasonable equilibration fractionation temperatures at Abolhassani. Comparison of Th versus freezing (Tm1) values for the two deposits indicates the presence of a moderate salinity fluid (5-6 wt% NaCl) of similar temperature (250 oC) in each deposit, but with a higher salinity component also present at Abolhassani. The Abolhassani district shows higher average Ag/Au (34.7) and Pb + Zn contents (up to 7.6 wt%) than Gandy (Ag/Au 2.1 and 3.9 wt%), consistent with the nearly 4x higher maximum salinity at Abolhassani compared to Gandy.PRECIOUS and base-METAL mineralization within hydrothermal breccias of Gandy may have deposited under boiling conditions, whereas base-METAL mineralization in stage II most likely occurred due to dilution. Based on mixing trends, base-METAL sulfides in Abolhassani veins were deposited during periodic injection and dilution of brines. The minimum depth of formation was at least 430 m and 600 m below the paleowater table for Gandy and Abolhassani, respectively.

Abstract:

At the middle of the 19th century, MolieRE was well known as a very capable playwright in the neighbouring countries of the then Persia, to the extent that some of his plays had been performed in the lands in question. In 1869, Mirza Habib Esfahani who was living in Constantinople, provided a rhymed Persian translation of The Misanthrope (French: Le Misanthrope ou l’Atrabilaire amoureux), a 17th-century well known comedy of manners in verse, written by MoliERE. The play satirizes the hypocrisies of French aristocratic society. Mirza Habib’s translation, being entitled Gozares-e mardom-goriz, was based upon the Ottoman-Turkish translations/versions of the play under discussion. The publication of this work was the starting point for the performance of a number of MoliERE’s plays in the Large Hall of Dar al-Fonun (lit. “polytechnic college”), in Tehran, a hall which was sometimes used as a theatre and was founded by Jules RicHARd and his Persian assistant, Mirza AliAkbar kan-the latter being himself a teacher of the French language and literature in Dar al-Fonun.The present study is dedicated to the review of a critical edition of Mirza Habib’s rhymed Persian translation of The Misanthrope, which has recently been published by Iraj AfsAR (Tehran 2009). Three helpful appendices, aimed at providing overall views on the history of Theatre in Iran, as well as the original French text of the play in question, have also been attached to the main body of the work.
